I feel Kara stepped it up, but she won't be around much longer.
I liked Nick's dress and didn't think it was as horrible as the judges made it to be.
Santino makes everything so couture, and as the judges mentioned it's not wearable for women.
Chloe's was definitely the most wearable. It didn't scream, "I'm wearing my lawn". For the time constraints and much work involved, she did an amazing job.
I didn't like how Daniel's straps were showing, it would have looked better strapless.
On a different note... I'm so easily amused but I thought Santino's Red Lobster story was hilarious! Please tell me I'm not the only one!

i agree with everyone's assessments so far. and seriously, i could listen to santino impersonating tim gunn all day long. hilarious.
anyone else noticing that it seems easy to predict who is going home by the camera time that the contestants get and the things they say? last week when they showed zulema in the beginning talking about she was glad she had won the challenge but that she still needed to focus because no one is ever safe? after hearing that i kind of jokingly said "well, she's going home today!" and then she did. last night after andrae was talking about how he had worked for a florist and he definitely didn't feel like he was in the "shallow end of the pool" (or whatever pool reference he made) I figured that he would be the one going home - and he did.
i agree that i was frustrated by kara - her dress was very cool and she deserved to stay just being judged on the final garment, but it's true that she was just kind of going with it as it came to her and wasn't working off an actual idea or design. although maybe that does make a good designer? the ability to just work with materials and bring something creative and beautiful to life from that?
i think chloe should have won last night. i love daniel, but i was annoyed that it seemed like they made him the winner just because he used flowers. if they wanted the designer to use more flowers, they should have made flowers a mandatory part of the challenge.

I was a bit surprised to see Andre go. While Kara's dress was better for that particular challenge, I think Andre has overall been much better than her. Whatever, I'm just still jumping for joy that Zulema is gone.
I loved Daniel's dress, and I was really happy to see him win. I also loved Chloe's dress.
Nick is really starting to concern me. I absolutely adore him, and I loved his first few designs. However, the last two weeks his garments have just been underwhelming.
I didn't like that Nina Garcia gave them such a hard time for not using more flowers. Yes, flowers would have added color, but the risk of them looking like wilting and looking like crap is too risky. I thought it was smart of the designers to stick w/ materials that would last through the night.
Santino is too funny. The whole Red Lobster thing had me in tears. I also thought it was great that Tim Gunn was such a good sport about it, I like him a lot.
smash- i TOTALLY agree about predicting who's going home. i mean, they had andrae saying in the apt. before the runway how he's not going home, then someone said, anyone can go home. (something to that effect..). they basically showed him being cocky the whole episode.
i was crying laughing so hard. and nick made me laugh even harder because he was like, oh my god, tim's calling santino out. it definitely made santino and tim more relatable.
i always judge them in my head and say who's going to win, but last night i couldn't pick a winner. i thought that they were either going to love or hate chloe's dress, because when she was finishing it, it looked like she just threw glue on, and threw petals on, but when it was on the runway, it looked better. i really thought that kara's was great. i loved daniels (loved loved loved the basketweaving), but i also didn't like that the straps were showing. and nick, i'm getting kinda worried about.
to me, it looks like next week the pair up to give eachother makeovers, and santino is with kara, (there's a scene where kara's crying on the couch about santino) so i feel like it might be a double elimination, and they both might go home, leaving nick, daniel, and chloe left?!

i didn't watch this week so i have no comments on the ep. but i suspected there would be a double elimination coming. however i wonder how the pairing up works since only 5 people are left.
on the other hand i was reading the free paper this morning & they had a spread on fashion week featuring nick, chloe, & santino. nothing about preparing for shows, just general bs, but i got concerned, since i really want daniel to be in the final 3.
This show just gets better every week. I thought everyone made really great dresses. Andrae's didn't work out that well, but I could totally see what he was thinking. It's getting to the point where it's sad to see anyone leave. Except maybe Kara. I wouldn't be too upset.
Next week looks great.
Has anyone watched the videos on the Project Runway website? They show Daniel talking about coming out more, and Chloe being obnoious basically just saying, "Hey! Hey! I have gay friends!"

what???
i was wondering how the 5 person pair up would work too, maybe they are going to pair up daniel, nick, and chloe and santino and kara then eliminate one person from each team. daniel is obviously the biggest threat since he's won all of the challenges, but doesn't he have immunity? i'm so confused. maybe they don't pair up next week, but it appeared that way from the previews.

I enjoyed last night's show; I still can't believe Santino's STILL there, but I also think his time is slowly but surely coming, same for Kara. Seems like they (the judges) REALLY loved her dress last night, but I also liked Chloe's.

those three have been my picks from the beginings although i do love daniels work as well.
