So I've been trying to eat low-fat healthy food and most important smaller portions.
I gained 20 pounds last year There - I admitted it. I feel horrible, my husband gets really mad cuz he swears up and down i look the same, blah, blah, I had a baby, etc. Everything still fits, except I have to squeeeeeeeeze into my jeans, I've got a ghetto booty and my thighs are bigger - my hubby seems really happy about that. Before I was preggers I weighed 105, but I had very unhealthy eating habits, so my realistic goal is get down to 110 or so.
Anyway, I'm very addicted to canned tuna right now, I've had it 2 days in a row and this is what I added to it:
1 Serrano Chile
1/2 small tomato
1 T onion
1 teaspoon Light Mayo
1 mini lime
pinch of cilantro
salt & pepper
Tapatio topping (yes I'm a hot sauce freak)
So, tell me did I do well and is this a low-cal meal?
Looks good to me! Good protein, some veggies, little 'bad' fat, and lots of flavor to keep you satisfied.
Just be careful you're not eating too much tuna -
The following is from the Environmental Working Group, which offers far more protective/stringent standards than FDA:
"Pregnant women, nursing mothers and all women of childbearing age, should not eat tuna steaks, sea bass, oysters from the Gulf Coast, marlin, halibut, pike, walleye, white croaker, and largemouth bass. These are in addition to FDA's recommendation to entirely avoid shark, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish.
These women should eat no more than one meal per month combined of canned tuna, mahi-mahi, blue mussel, Eastern oyster, cod, pollock, salmon from the Great Lakes, blue crab from the Gulf of Mexico, wild channel catfish and lake whitefish.
The following fish are safer choices for avoiding mercury exposure: farmed trout or catfish, shrimp, fish sticks, flounder, wild Pacific salmon, croaker, haddock, and blue crab from the mid-Atlantic."
HTH!

I think you did well too! High flavor/low cal things like cilantro and lime (my favorite combo EVER), hot sauce, salt, and pepper are great ways to add flavor and make you feel satisfied without blowing a diet. Plus, the onions and tomatoes add some veggies, so that's good.
I'm like you: I LOVE tuna! Some of my favorite things to put into it are a little bit of mayo and mustard (no calories in mustard!), and either capers and dill, or diced apple (so good!), onion and fennell, pickle relish, pretty much whatever. I also like to make a homemade marinara sauce and add tuna to it, along with asian Sweet Chilli Sauce<--soooooooooo good!
