I'm so excited. Hopefully he'll be good. I often feel like Oscar hosts are just mean and take cheap shots, but I think Jon Stewart will be funny without resorting to that.

SUH-weeet!

I have a huge oscar bash every year and it's SO much more fun when there's a good host. I haven't been this excited since Steve Martin did it. (Though even Jon can't compare to Steve.)

yeah, i will have to watch it this year too.  i have noticed that a lot of hollywood don't respond as well to comedians who are not movie stars.  i hope they don't snub him though...

Well, he was in Big Daddy -- maybe Hollywood will think of him as a movie star now.

I think he'll be a great host. It should be a really fun show this year!

He was great in The Faculty. Actually he was the only good part of that movie...

Have I ever mentioned I bartended with Jon at a dive, punk rock club in Trenton NJ in the early 80's? He lived in Lawrenceville, NJ for a good many years.


He was hilarious then and we have kept in touch throughout all these years. I am excited for him, he will be a great host and I am thrilled for him. Its so cool to see a local boy really succeed.

Ally, that is so cool! What a thrill to see a friend doing so well. He seems like he would be a really nice, fun guy.
