I was wondering what the weather was like in January. Is it warm enough to go to the beach? California weather has been dreary and wet. Floods are happening around here too. I need a break like, now. Also, any suggestions as to where to go/what to do? I'm a simple girl; I don't care for clubs or partying. I just want to relax!
Depends where you want to go. Like yesterday in S. Florida it was 84 degrees. But it varies also because i think later in the week it is supposed to be in the lower 70's.
The weather varies this time of year. It was almost 80 yesterday in the Tampa Bay area but this weekend the high will only be in the low 60s which i guess is still pretty warm if you are from up north.
South Beach is a great place to have fun and relax. You dont have to go out to the trendy places. There are lots of cafes and restaurants, museums and tourist attractions, beaches to walk on etc.. to keep things relaxing and simple.
I live in Sarasota which is somewhat of a resort town and very low key. Siesta Key beaches are notoriously on the best top ten beaches in the world. There are great restaurants, tourist attractions and the weather is always beautiful. Let me know if you would like more information.
I went to the beach a couple days ago. It was sunny but I wore a light sweater and some shorts over my bathing suit. It's really nice but there's a slight cold front coming this weekend.

I was at the beach last week, and although it was chilly (high 50s, mid 60s) it was still beautiful. We still walked on the beach with barefeet, capris, and a hoodie. I mean really, is the beach ever a bad thing? Just sitting on the balcony watching the water & listening to it was therapy. It was exactly what i needed.
