I'm going to a wedding on an island this weekend and I anticipate the weather to be humid/rainy. I need to be able to put my hair up in a style that photographs well and works with my fine texture. Anyone have any recs?
Pic of me and how I normally wear my hair for reference (I'm on the left)
We arrear to have similar hair, and this is my go-to humid day off-the-neck hair-do:
Curl hair first (like in your photo)
Pull back into 2-3 pony tails with those tiny plastic hair ties (often sold in clear or black). Sometimes I stack the ponytails vertically, sometimes I go horizontal at the base of my neck. Make sure they are a little loose.
Then I bobby pin the curls willy-nilly around the ponytails until it looks like one continous look instead of seperate ponys.
It's easy and wears well in the heat and humidity. I usually gel first and hair spray later.
A tip for an easy updo and my new favorite hair holders are goody spin pins! I put my hair into a pony tail, then arrange my hair into a loose bun, screw in a few pins in strategic locations, and it stays without pulling at my scalp. I can do loose up dos no with no problem. I just love them!
The bun spiral is great for when my hair is wet and I want it to air dry too:
I think you can buy them at target or any store with a large cosmetics area that sells hair accessories. I bought mine at Meijer, but I don't know if you have Meijer stores in your area.
I think I may actually be able to use those. So far I have never been able to successfully accomplish anything other than a basic ponytail with my hair. Do you get them at Target?

I got these responses after i left for the island and it was a bit too late unfortunately. The weather was actually quite chilly so I wore it down with a few tendrils pinned back. Later, when we danced, I just pinned it into a messy french twist. I wish I'd put more effort into my hair bc it looks pretty flat and non-existent in the pics.
