But I don't ski - and I will have the baby with me - what can I do while my hubby hits the slopes?

You should try and learn while you are there. Take a class in hit the bunny slopes.  Maybe you could alternate with your hubby so he could watch the baby while you give skiing a try.

There are lots of things!  On our family ski vacations, there were always 1-2 non-skiers.  Here's what they did:

- my aunt was at the spa 24/7.  It may be harder with Talia, but maybe your hubby could watch her one morning or afternoon while you got a facial and massage?  Or, the manicure/pedicure areas are usually baby friendly.  You could do that and bring her with you.

- shop!!  It's expensive there, but FUN!

- bring a bunch of great books

- I love to snowshoe.  Do you have a backpack/baby bjorn for Talia?  There are always lots of guided tour options wherever you go, and it costs around $10 to rent the snowshoes.

- at Aspen, non-skiers can take the gondola to the top of the mountain and have lunch at the restaurant.  I bet you can do the same at Vail, and arrange to meet your husband for lunch.

I hope this helps - I'm totally jealous

oh, too bad you don't ski. The back bowls are Vail are one of the most breathtaking things I have ever seen in my life. I am so jealous. Do you want to take me along to babysit?
