does anyone have any beloved pictures of breath-takingly beautiful places in the world.  either personal or someone else's photos. i posted this in laken's post in travel + tourism, but i had others to share:

mt. fiji.  this photo is taken at the witching hour.  i swear.  i have dreams about sitting where the photographer is (he's probably in the air- but i'm pretending he's sitting on a hill faraway)

also love this one- best time of day EVER:

iguacu falls in south america- these look like they are from a biblical tale or something.  seriously- i can't believe how gorgeous they are.

cinque terre as night falls- i took this from community webshots teehee- jsegale2 (?)

Dusk in Monterosso

i love the hills/cliffs combined with water and the warmth of the lights at night- its so bewitching and mysterious- like mermaids could be swimming in the water

and i LOVE pictures of the english/irish/scottish countryside!  and pictures of the fjords in norway (i think?).  oh makes me want to travel SO bad.  and of course- any pics taken out west.

I'm such a loser, I have never been anywhere far from home!  The only states I have ever been in include Washington (homestate), Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming.

So this is the only scenic picture I have ever taken (Baker Lake):

And Mt. Baker.

Victoria Falls in Zambia. I have pics of it as well of us rafting down the Zambeze ( which it pours into) I'll post those later as well

One side is Zambia the other is Zimbabwe

What I find most amazing about this photo is just that simple body of water seperates those two warring countries.

Wow, those are really gorgeous. I know this is uber boring since it's a popular screen saver, but I LOVE this - I swear I don't know if I even want to go there because I'm afraid it won't be this fabulous....

really any beach pixs like this:

I haven't been to these place, but I have been to Jamaica. And it really was beautiful, but surprisingly more lush & green than beachy i thought (duh, an island).

Northern lights I didn't want to rip off the photographer so I just posted a link. From my beloved Iceland! haha

Unfortunately, all of my pictures from Australia are non-digital, so I can't show you my own pics, but this is Ayers Rock, smack dab in the middle of Australia.  It's one of the coolest places I've ever been.  When we were there, it was 5 am and it was pouring rain, so there were all of these little waterfalls coming off the rock.  Very cool.
