"Jen isn't the only one who's feeling enlightened these days. Paltrow has also gained some insight, especially about the path her fellow actresses should follow.
Gwyn, who continues to remain tight-lipped on reports she's expecting her second little fruitlet with Chris Martin, believes that hard-working female stars who haven't yet emulated her mommyhood status (like, say, Aniston) need to reprioritize.
"It's weird," she tells In Style. "I look at some peers and think, 'No, you've got it all wrong.' I want to tell them to have babies, be happy and not get sucked into the Hollywood thing."
Maybe she's just trying to make the point that there is more to life than Hollywood BS, which obviously I agree with, but it sure came out in the most smug, condescending way possible! The fact that she had the audacity to tell women without children that they've "got it all wrong" just makes me want to slap her. When will mothers and non-mothers ever stop judging each other's choices?
Yeah, and she's made a lot of comments lately about how she can't imagine working so much these days because motherhood and being with her family is so much more important and better. Obviously it is important to be a good mom and spend time with your family, but when she says those things she sounds completely oblivious to the fact that she has tons of money and can afford to stop working so much. Few women have that luxury.
i hope that the quote was taken out of context. if i had my way she would never open her mouth, b/c almost everytime she does she just sounds like an ass.
I hope it was taken out of context too, but I doubt it. I agree w/you honey, everytime she opens her mouth, she sounds like an ass. I have never really liked her - to be she's always acted like she thinks she's better than everyone else.
I used to love Gwyneth, now I just cringe reading her interviews. I couldn't finish that InStyle interview. She thinks she's the only one who has things figured out, experienced death of a parent or even had a baby. This isn't the first time, there was an article in Marie Claire where she said something about Britain being dirty or something like that.
I agree...when she's spoken about her dad's death in interviews it sounded to me like she didn't even consider how her mom or her brother were feeling. It was always, this is so hard on *me*. I'm sure it was, of course...she just seemed only concerned with how she felt, not anyone else in her family.

That's obnoxious. It's so easy for her to say that from her position. She's obviously loaded and a big enough celebrity that she could drop out of the business for a few years and jump back in.
That said, I can't help but love her. She exudes this feeling of like upper class American perfection. I'm pretty sure her life is just one big Ralph Lauren ad.

i agree completely. i think its such a smug, annoying comment, but i like her regardless.
