I usually like to wash my hair every other day to help retain the color and just to keep it over all healthier. However, since getting bangs last month, my second day hair isn't looking all that great. I thought that maybe dry shampoo would help but I've never used it before. Does any one have any recommendations? Any tips on how to use it? Do they make different ones for different hair colors? (I'm a brunette if it helps.)
I've tried Oscar Blandi dry shampoo (travel size from Sephora - I'll never use all of it), and my sister got me a travel size can of Pssst for Xmas, but I haven't tried it yet. If you're dealing with greasy bangs, sometimes wearing a mattifier on your forehead will work. That's what I did when I had long hair and long bangs. I have bangs now, but I don't have trouble with this anymore. I don't know why. (??)
Oscar Blandi stuff works well. I don't remember it showing up in my brown hair. It smells like lemon.
I'm currently using John Freida Luxurious Volume right now. I don't totally love it, but it smells alright and it doesn't make my hair look chalky (two things I can't really say about most other ones I've tried!).
The best I ever used was Bumble & Bumble, who sell it by hair color. I had to stop using it because now my hair isn't all brunette, but it was great.

Well, Boots, you're in luck! I accidentally spritzed some shine spray too close to my head last night while getting ready to go out. It gave me the perfect chance to try my can of Pssst! Psst is 100% superior to the Blandi stuff. Psst is finer and virtually undectectable. Spray it at the root, wait a min and brush or finger style it. No powdery look. In fact, I wondered if I was actually getting any product out of the can because I didn't see a cloud of powder!
With Blandi, I scratch my scalp the next day and my nails are filled with powdery crap. It's a coarser grade or something.
Boots- another alternative- when i had blunt bangs, i would pull the rest of my hair back and just wash my bangs with a tiny bit of shampoo and re-blow dry them. it helped immensely! Psst! is a great product and i've had good luck with Tresemme and Suave dry shampoos too.

ITA. I have the Blandi and while it works for that day, it leaves gritty texture on your scalp that you need to shampoo out. I also tend to scratch my head throughout the day bc it tickles. I like PSSt but hate the smell.
I second what Bex said about just washing your bangs. I do that all the time and it really helps. For dry shampoo, I use a brand called "Cake" from Sephora online and you can get it in blonde or brunette...it's a powder, not a spray, which I like better.
Thank you all so much! The bang washing trick will be great for post work out days (never thought of just washing the bangs) and I'm going to give the dry shampoo a shot. Since the Cake is from Sephora, I'm going to also try to get a sample next time I'm in one.
