I agree about the Miami thing (and the Atlanta thing). I was flipping through the Herald when I was there, and I came across a full-page ad on the back of an Arts insert. The advising board or some sponsorship group supporting the Miami City Ballet was featured in the ad, and every woman, except for one, had the full-on plastic surgery stretch. It was startling.

Poor Clevelanders. I don't know how the "Clevelanders are ugly" thing got started. I don't think it's true. There are plenty of attractive people there. It doesn't help that Clevelanders are so reactive, defensive, and, thus, insecure (and in the opposite order, as it is a vicious circle). I should correct this and refer to the whole of NE Ohio-- which includes me. :-/
