I've decided to upgrade from my typical drugstore hair dryer and get a good, professional grade one.  What is everyone using?  What's the best that won't break the bank?

No clue. My upgrade last time was the Conair version that had the retractable cord.grandma.gif

Do the expensive ones really work that much better to justify the price tag? I'm curious too.

I can tell you the Hot Tools one is incredibly loud.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls has had some upscale hair tools lately for super cheap.

I think I got mine in Target, Conair:

$29.99 Online Price

Conair Infiniti Pro AC Motor Hair Dryer - Orange

I thought it'd be an upgrade for me, $30, since my previous Conair was purcahsed about 8 years ago for $15...So, i like this one, powereful.

My mom just bought this one today at Ulta...it's the Speed Freak 2000 Watt Ceramic and Tourmaline Dryer
for $119 but if you ask the girls at the register to give you a coupon they will. Today they gave her a 20% coupon which helps

She hasn't used it yet of course but it was recommended and had pretty good reviews so we shall see!

I have the CHI Nano, and I really like it. It def dries your hair faster, and I think it's a bit quieter. I can't remember where I got it and how much it was (either Ulta or Amazon) --or maybe Bed Bath & Beyond (with a 20% coupon).

It gets really hot. But, because it dries your hair faster, you don't have the heat sitting on it.
