!!!The time is here once again for the annual Stylethread Secret Santa!!!

    I'm glad to head this up and continue our annual tradition, but I need your help in following 'the rules'.  smile

So here's the plan.  In order to participate in this year's Secret Santa you must:

1: PM me with your real name, mailing address and phone number by midnight on the 30th of November(your phone number may be needed if there are delivery issues)

***any names submitted after the cut-off will not be added to the list***

2: Check this thread to confirm that your name has been added to the list.

3: Check your PM inbox  during the first week in December for the name and address of your assigned SS recipient and for confirmation of your own mailing address from me.

4: Post your likes/dislikes on this Secret Santa 2011 thread after your name is added to the list.  Participants should also consider reading through past SS posts and their assigned SS's posts for help in choosing a gift. 

5: Ship your package by the 15th of December

6: You MUST add delivery confirmation to your shipment.

7: Send me a PM after you have shipped your package, with your recipient's name and the confirmation number.

Ok, so now that the rules are out of the way biggrin on to the fun! In the past we've done crafts, under $10, white elephant...to name a few.  This year's theme will be:


From my life to yours

 


Simply put, the goal is to gift your SS recipient with something that represents an important facet of you.  Perhaps something that falls in line with your holiday traditions...or your style... along with a note explaining why you chose it for her.  All while remaining within the price cap of $15.

(for example, my ss might love the color purple and this year I really delved into baking, so I could get her a purple pie plate.  Or maybe she loves to travel and most of my traditions come from my german side so I might buy her a coffee table book of german castles)

 So get savvy, get shopping and get your Santa on!biggrin

I think we usually have the choice to reveal or not. I did last year (I think) cuz I filled out the return address and stuff.

I think most people put a little note in with the gift to tell you who it is from. We usually start a second post reveling what we got from our SS (this is almost as much fun to read as actually getting the gift! We have a lot of creative ladies here at ST.)
