Why does BR not sell any pants in a 0 Long? Thanks to vanity sizing, I now wear a 0 there (and sometimes that is too big), even though I used to be a 2. The inseams on the 0s are like 32" -- too short for me. Why sell long sizes if you leave out one size?!? Arggghhhhh.

Just needed to vent.

I stopped buying pants at Gap for this very reason (they do the same thing) - apparently even though thin & tall is the 'ideal' (and what they themselves portray in their advertisements) they can't get it into their heads that real people look that way, too.  Gap doesn't carry jeans in 0, 1, or 2 shorts in their stores.  The smallest size they stock is a 4 short .  That's right, because if you're short (or tall), you can't possibly also be small!?!  For heaven's sake, I wonder if they people who decide what sizes they maufacture are able to actually wear the clothes?

I can't even wear BR pants AT ALL anymore - they've outsized me completely .

They are ridiculous.  I tried on some pants there in a 4 (which is my usual size at most places and sometimes it's a little tight) and they swallowed me.  I am by no means a size 2, but that's what I would have to get.  And there is still something about them that seems way disproportioned.  So yeah, I've written them off too.

Exactly my thought.  I love to look at the website...but do  so wistfully, knowing nothing will fit me properly.  I probably go in once a year just to try things on to see if maybe, just maybe, they've wised up and started cutting slacks in a way that would fit me.  But no...never happens...it's like they are cut with rounded hips or something...

I agree as well. The BR cut is way "off" for me, not just in terms of the vanity sizing (no way in hell I am a 4) but in terms of the fit. They seem to be cut with a ton of extra room in the bum and thighs (more than average, even), and with a long rise but short legs. Wouldn't it stand to reason that a person with that long of a rise would also have longer legs? Bizarre.

I agree with everyone's comments. Year after year I check back to see if their pants fit me yet, but they never do! No matter what size I try, there's too much extra fabric in the butt and thighs, and they are always too short. And I'm only 5'4", that's the weirdest part.....I have also noticed that often, with the models on their website, the pants are too short on them too! It's kind of funny!

Yeah I wish BR pants worked for me too...then I wouldn't have to spend my money on Alvin Valleys (which I love, but they're $$$). There's just no way on earth I can possibly be a size 2. If I'm a size 2, there are girls around who must be a -6 or something that need to be serviced!

I'm 5' 3" and I've always found Petites to be too short (I think the pants are made for girls who are 4' 9", which is fine, but yeah...) and Regulars to be either the right length or too long...I feel really sorry for all the girls taller than me because it only gets downhill from there.

I agree w/everyone else too.  I literally only own one pair of pants from Banana and I had to size way down and order a long inseam off the internet.  Their sizes are way off on me too and I have same problem w/too much room in the butt and thigh area

I have a similar problem w/ their size 0 except I have short legs and their petite pants are always just slightly too short for me, and the regulars are way too long.  They actually took down the hems of the 2 pairs of pants I bought there by 3/4 inch for free, which ended up making them just right.  But I feel weird going into a store where the 0 is too big for me.  There are plenty of ppl out there skinnier than I am.

@LMonet, the Gap at my mall stocks jeans and cords in 0, 1, and 2 short.  I wear a size 2 short and they always some, just not a lot.  Literally, they get 2 or 3 pairs of 0, 1, and 2 short and when they sell out, they're gone.  It's frustrating if I get there after the other size 2 short women leave.
