I wanted to share that my son got his progress report a while back and so far he is making all A's in his classes- he is in first grade. Iam so proud of him- i just hope as the years go by he will still do the same. I told him if he gets good grades on the report card he will get 2.00 i know that is not much but that is alot to him- he was very excited @ that!! I remember in 1st grade we did not do any of the work they are doing now days- we was doing that in @ third grade if i remeber right
*** Update okay well iam smiling from ear to ear my son got all A on his report card Go chris Go!! Only thing he needs to improve is keeping his personal items organized, we will have to work on that even at home we have some trouble with that
Yay!! And $2- what motivation! (I'm serious- and I think it's great that you are doing that. My parents were the opposite- I got in trouble if I didn't make all As and it lead me to being way to hard on myself even to this day. I never feel like anything I do is good enough...)
Nothing like incentive for your child to pull good grades. When I was really young, my grandpa used to give me $1 for every A I got, then as I got older (and more expensive--heehee), he would give me $5 per A.
