Rare Minerals anyone?
Permalink Closed

I was just wondering if anyone has used the Rare Minerals skin treatment as a day wear foundation/cover up? I love Bare Minerals, but after trying 4 of their lightest shades, there is nothing that matches me enough to wear out during the day. I can get away with the fair at night, but I can also get away with no foundation at night sooooo... I received a sample of the Rare Minerals, enough for 1 night and I think it would be the perfect shade but I used it at bed time as directed and that left me wanting more. Sorry to ramble. Any takers?

I took a very quick look at some reviews on Amazon, and it seemed people may be wearing it during the day. As long as it doesn't look powdery or anything, you should be okay. I think the only time you have to wear/use something at night is if the active ingredients work best at that time or if it is a strong chemical exfoliant (something you don't want to do before leaving the house for the day). I don't have any personal experience with this product (except for trying some on my hand at Sephora). Buy it from somewhere that has a good return policy is my advice.

You haven't been on in a while right?  If so, welcome back!

I wasn't even sure what this was until I looked up some reviews for you. It's a treatment to make your skin more even, right? I did notice that some people were wearing during the day, so as long as you put a SPF under it I don't see why you couldn't either. Most people seem to hate the sponge used to apply it and recommend getting a brush for it.

I would definitely get it through Sephora for the return policy. If you have a store near you, the associates are extremely helpful and knowledgeable too.

I am not sure of which Rare Minerals youre talking about but I used one years ago that was like Bare Minerals but had a sponge attached applicator. I remember liking it and finding it having plenty of coverage but didn't feel the $60 pricetag made sense, as it only lasted me like a month. Is that the one yuo're talking about?
