Both have an H & M (that's the main objective here!) so which one should I make the trip to? I'll make it a long weekend of mostly shopping but also some actvities for the bf. Thanks girls!
as for cleveland, i was NOT impressed with the H&M at all. they definitely will not be getting the stella mccartney line either, if you were planning on going then.... it's just small and lots of graphic and plain tees.. i bought a cool ivory blouse but didn't even see anything else that caught my eye... the rest of the mall that the H&M is in.. Crocker Park, is really nice and has good stores.. urban, Indigo Nation, etc. but except for Indigo, most are fairly generic. and there are no dept. stores at Crocker Park either.. to get to a Nordies or saks, you would have to go to beechwood which is 45 mins away, to get to dillards/kaufmanns, 10 mins
Basically, it's a great mall to have in town (i'm from westlake where it is) but i wouldn't take a special trip to go there.. toronto will be much cooler. But, you could take the BF to a cavs game if you go at the right time.. which would be fun.
I just checked the H&M list, and three stores in Toronto will have the SM clothes, none in Cleveland. So, I guess that could make your decision easier
But I was going to suggest Toronto anyway. A co-worker and I had to take a trip their last year, and we had so much fun. We were able to stay at a nicer hotel because of the good exchange rate (not sure how it's doing these days) and we did tons of shopping (mostly on Bloor St.)
We found out that the prices for Club Monaco and MAC are the same in Canada and the US, so those things are cheaper there. Just be sure to save your receipts so you can get the sales tax back (it's REALLY high). I think you have to spend more than $200 to get the refund.
While you are there you can also check out this great store also from Europe called Mango. There is one at Yorkdale, Eatons Centre (Younge Street) and Sherway Gardens. It has really great clothes.
The bf could go to a hockey game or hockey hall of fame (if he likes hockey).
