I love this show! I was so angry that after knowing the truth about Derek and his "wife" she still wouldn't forgive him. What does she want?! I guess he should have told her beforehand, but still, he's so cute! I hope his wife goes away because I don't like her at all. Oh and does anyone else think Sandra Oh is going to end up having the baby?
She is completely going to have that baby! He is so cute - I would have forgiven him. I mean hell, I wouldn't want to tell that story either. And it's not like they are getting back together. She is such a witch. When she requested Grey....oh man, I figured it would be WAY worse than it was. And how do you not George!!!

I'm so bummed I missed the show last night! I watched the first 15 minutes and couldn't keep my eyes open any longer (I know I'm a big dork). What was Dr. McDreamy's explanation to Grey?
i could barely keep mine open either---rough night and tailgating the day before
but he said that he walked in the house and found her in bed with his best friend and so he left NYC and moved to Seattle and met Grey in that bar that first night he came to town.
i think she needs to get over but I agree---he should have told her. He is just so darn cute. His ex wife is kinda weird looking to me

i missed the show?!?!!!! nooooooooooooo i hope my friend tivo-ed it. can anyone give me a recap? why did burke break up with sandra oh's character? was there a reason? heeeeeelp
Was it just me or did anyone else want to punch that pregnant lady? First off it was none of her business and secondly shouldn't she be a little more worried about whatever was wrong with the babies than the doctor that she just met's personal life? I actually warmed up a little more toward Addison when she stuck up for her.
Sandra Oh is totally going to have the baby.

I agree that Sandra is going to end up having that baby. She has to, for the show has to have something that will force development/warming up of her character, otherwise she is not interesting or relatable, she's just too hard right now, something's gotta give and it might as well be this pregnancy.
I have thought this before, but these medical students are a little unrealistic to me because of their seriously heavy drinking and brain cell killing better left to business grads. But it adds some edge/vulnerability to the shows characters, it especially makes Grey look like a potential basketcase and I love it. Realistically, I could imagine the writiers coming up with a good AA twist if the show lasts a while.
I have such a crush on Dr. McDreamy. aw!! And I dig his ex-wife, I hope she sticks around for several episodes. I can see her becoming a friend/mentor to someone with a good countering personality, but I have a feeling she will be written out soon.

Actually they are not students. They are doctors. My friend is a doc and she told me that you have to become a doc before you intern.

not the point of my comment about the profession mixed with the boozing, but yes, you are right.

Well, Farrah is right. Techinically they are no longer students. But most of the med students I know drink a lot, just like any other student!

My friend Karin was a fish in undergrad through med school and she got great grades. She was so smart she hardly ever even studied (I am very jealous of that about her.) I think that the fact that they are in the medical profession doesn't exclude them from being just like everyone else. You will always have your big drinkers and your non drinkers no matter what your story is.
I think that they show them in those situations to humanize them.

i was wondering about meredith's drinking and whether that would be a plot device, too, last night--she was hitting it pretty hard with the shots at the bar by herself, and there was that one episode last season where she drank like a whole bottle of tequila straight out of the bottle when she was upset. she doesn't seem to be a social drinker, she drinks really heavily to get wasted when she is upset, which is not a good sign.
