I resolve to lose weight and get back in my clothes in 2011. I need to be better about fitting in exercise, taking my vitamins, and reducing my calorie intake. I thought I might put together a little bag to carry around containing a deck of cards, a tennis ball, etc. to help me visualize portions.
Do you have any resolutions to share?

My biggest resolution is to cut aspartame from my diet. I've switched from diet coke to diet caffeine free coke the month of December, and will go without it completely in the new year. I was just drinking too much of it. I will also start looking to eliminate it from food sources, but I don't think it is in much of what I regularly eat.
I also want to lose some weight and spend a bit more smartly in the new year, but I haven't developed anything more concrete than that. Over the next couple of days I will formulate more solid goals.
Mine is the same every year, to try to actual do some of the things that I want instead of just saying "Oh I'd love to go (insert restaurant/activity/destination here)" It's harder than it seems, but I usually accomplish two or three each year. This year my big one was to go to New Orleans.
Generally, I hate resolutions because in my world they only exist to taunt me and demonstrate my immense propensity at failing to finish what I've started. But, I do hope to get back to blogging. We're moving next weekend and I'll have much better places to take OOTD pictures, so I'm hoping that gets me motivated. Along the same lines, I also want to get better at self-portraits.
And I need to whip myself into better shape and lose a little weight.
Continue to lose weight. I gained almost 25 pounds over the last three years (I blame a lot of it on a stressful job). I've lost 15 pounds so far and want to continue. I'd like to to do this by upping my veggie and fruit intake and cutting out all the processed junk that seems to be everywhere. I have too many cute clothes that just don't fit!
Do some community service on a regular basis.
Be a better friend. I recently moved back to where I grew up and wasn't so great with keeping in touch with old friends while I was away. I miss having lots of girlfriends around!

I resolve to create myself a fully functional wardrobe. Get rid of stuff that fits weird, shoes with scuffed up toes, pilled sweaters, etc. Look as put together as possible.
Oh goodness...I think any/all of my resolutions would be all the ongoing goals I've set for myself...which if I sit and bother to really think on them seem just plain unattainable. :( Yeesh! But in the spirit of making a few I can actually keep: I resolve to... ...increase my circle of friends. ...help whenever it is asked of me. ...save up for and get some gosh darn dental work! ...send more snail-mail.
Exercise more. It's sort of just a coincidence that this resolution is coming around the new year.
I had a gym membership that I chose specifically because they had yoga and pilates classes at that gym. Then we moved and...I couldn't break my contract because we still live within 20 miles one of the chain's locations, but my new location doesn't have any of those classes. So I never go. But I didn't want to go to yoga anywhere else because I felt like I should exercise at the gym since I was already paying $50/month for it. BUT my contract will be up in just about a month, so I can stop feeling guilty about wasting money at a gym I don't go to, and actually find some yoga or pilates studios!
