Some of you probably already know this from Facebook, but I got a new job as a Director of Marketing and Communications for an integrated marketing agency. I'm so excited. This is a huge opportunity and just the boost my career (and my sanity) needed!

I should thank all of you here for the advice you gave me about resumes, portfolios and if grad school should be listed on my resume. I took the things you said, redid my linkedin page and my resume. I was recruited for two positions from linkedin, and offered one of them. Granted, I knew the guy from my network, but I think my updated page helped out since he said he had been checking it.

And about grad school, he believes it definitely relates to my new position since merchandising is largely about management and marketing. He's excited about the program I'm in, so this degree-in-progress helped me out with this job. YAY!
