I thought she was brat but then after the show I kinda felt sorry for her. I bet she's really insecure because of her popularity (or lack thereoff... when she was at dinner with her friends none of them seemed to be girls one would consider the popular queen bee types) and weight and felt she had throw a huge party to get people to like her and for once she was cool. During the party she was constantly complaining, she got upset when people were dancing on the speaker and stealing her "spotlight", and didn't have a date which I thought was weird... all things indicating her insecurity issues. And she had major issues with her mom, who seemed somewhat normal other than obscene over indulging of her daughter.

She was being crazy about her "stylist" though. I wonder if they really spent $10,000 on her because Sohpie's dress was nothing special and her hair looked like a tacky prom updo.

It was so obvious that she has major self esteem issues. Nobody treats people that way normally, she seems really angry to me. She was more than just a spoiled brat, she was just mean. I think she was the absolute worst of the sweet sixteens on yet. And the hair, I dont know what hair salon would let you walk out of their shop looking like that. She needs to stay far away from that place. It looked liked she didnt even have a good time at the party, she was too busy bosing everyone around to enjoy herself.

I felt the same way SFC. Plus- her stylist was NOT CUTE- would you ever hire a stylist who didn't dress adorable and have great hair? she had stringy limp hair and wore all black. a trained monkey could wear all black!!!

i also noticed her mother acting the same way- when the dress wasn't altered correctly the mom yelled about it and also she yelled at her mother (the grandmother) when they were leaving to get her new car. i seriously feel that these parents bring it on themselves.

i was sooo glad to see that someone else started a topic on this...i was watching it last nite and i swear my jaw was on the floor. i could not get over the way she treated her mom. i just don't understand why parents put up with that!! she is the one who is paying for everything and this girl treats her like crap!! it just blows my mind!! one of these days she will get a very rude awakening when she realizes you can't treat people the way she was treating them...high school doesn't last forever

This show puts wedding planning in a whole new perspective.....I really get scared to think that party cost 180K, but I am not hiring a stylist for 10K that does the same job as the sales associate........

Did you notice Sophie's dad wasn't around? wonder if he couldn't stand the mom....... History repeats itself! Looks like Sophie will always have issues, especially with men, what man would take her shit and for how long?!

I caught the reruns of the show yesterday, and oh my...I was so shocked and appalled by Sophie's behavior. I started watching when she was whining and throwing a fit in the car because her mom didn't want to take her to Dunkin Donuts, and then her mom was like ok sweetie, I'm taking you to Dunkin Donuts. I also noticed that her dress and hair looked sooo bad. I was watching it thinking, so when is she going to get her hair done? And then I realized that it was already done. I was also wondering what happened to the dad. Did they bring it up during the show?

Sophie was a complete mess and her hair was a sight. She needed a hairdresser in the absolute worst kind of way. How dare her mother pay 10k for a dress that didn't fit and not spend a dime on the rats nest she calls hair? I did feel bad for Sophie but not as bad as I know Sophie must feel for herself. It was a sad display of excess.
