well, i use my fingers...sometimes i swipe it on with the stick then blend using my fingers. i can't think of any other way to apply it...maybe you can use a sponger applicator as weel, but i think too much of it might get on the sponge?

here's my very non-technical method:

smear some on fingers (left hand), smear  left hand fingers w/ right hand fingers (so there's product on both sets of fingers), smush on cheeks, a little on nose, a little on forehead, a little on chin.  repeat w/ other multiple (i use mustique and palm beach)
