I'm new to facebook and already annoyed...

Is there a way to hide friends' _____ville crap? I recently became friends with an old co-worker, and my screen looks like an arcade with all the fishville, farmville, frontierville updates/whatnot from her.

Oh, baby. I've started blocking all kinds of crap on there. If you hold your mouse over the actual status update, an X will appear in the upper right hand corner of the comment.

If I remember correctly, the X will give you options about blocking ALL of whatever stupid game your friends are playing.

I hide all games. I get a thrill when a new game pops up so I can hide that one, too.

You can also hide gifts, Foursquare and other location-based services, and all kinds of stuff you may not care about.

I hide games, too. So irritating. I like reading updates, links and pictures from my friends, but I don't know that they need a sheep for their farm or whatever.
