I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and have the Girl Who Played With Fire waiting in the wings, but I think I need a little time between to digest (the first one was very raw, but a good read.) I started a V.I. Warshawski novel in the meantime.
I just read and loved "The Last Time They Met" by Anita Shreve and loved it. A total whim purchase at the thrift store one day...and now I'm looking for more by the same author.
I liked "Little Bee" but it's a book that sometimes needs quite a bit of "digesting" too...
And if you like ghost stories I really liked Hound of the Baskervilles this summer (but I lent to to BF and he didn't like it at all, gave it up about a quarter of the way through, so take that for what it's worth)
Sadly nothing else I've read this summer has been very rave-worthy :-/

"Loving Frank" story about the woman that Frank Lloyd Wright had a long term affair with. Especially good if you like strong woman leads. I love historical fiction and this is a fav! Also read
I am currently finishing the Undead (Queen Betsy) series. I am also trying to finish off the romance books by Rachel Gibson. Obviously I like fluff reads but they are just so darn cute. LOL
I just finished Girl with a One Track Mind by Abby Lee. It was very interesting - she had an annonymous blog, and it was published as a book. Lots of sex.
Right now I'm reading How Did You Get This Number by Sloane Crosley.
I really liked I Was Told There'd Be Cake (by the same author), and this one is pretty good as well.

I second Loving Frank. Great book. I'm usually not a fan of historical fiction but this book totally got me hooked! I also really loved The Glass Castle.
