Sandals St. Lucia?

A friend of mine honeymooded at a Sandals resort, and I swear it was St. Lucia; she loved it. I've been to St. Lucia (but not to Sandals) and thought the island was beautiful.

I also have a friend that honeymooned in St. Lucia and was sort of 'eh' about it. They said that if you just wanted to sit on your bum at the beach or by the pool and do absolutely nothing the whole time it would have been really nice, but not great if you wanted to do or see things. The area around the resort is dirty and run down, so you'd want to be driven around if you were to leave. They also found the service at the resort less than sterling, fwiw.

i'm so late to this but we went to sandals la toc (there are 3 sandals on the island of st lucia- i think la toc is the best one... one is smaller and the other is far away from the airport) for our honeymoon. we loved it! it was gorgeous and lush and lovely and we did activities almost every day off the resort. we went horseback riding one day, did a zip line another... we travel quite a bit and our honeymoon in st lucia was one of our top 3 vacations in our lives... we plan on going back to st lucia again for our 5 or 10 year anniversary. hope this helps! and let me know if you have questions about any other island and we have been to most of them :)
