Shu Uemura eyelash curler

Umm, okay, so someone tell me why this is seen as a good product! It's about $12 more than my covergirl eyelash curler (at $17) and it sucks. I heard it was great so I bought it and all it does is crimp my lashes into a horrific 90 degree angle-not cute! My dear covergirl curler worked much better, and I'm disappointed. Any thoughts from girls who've used it?

Well...I love mine. And I'm not a big spender on beauty products. But after years of reading (in the fashion mags) how great it is, I broke down and tried it. It took a little getting used to at first, but I really like it. I don't just do one crimp of my lashes though - I start at the base, then crimp at the ends, then do the middle - it takes longer but my lashes end up with a beautiful curve.

I think this product is great. The curl seems to last longer than with other products too. It makes my lashes look particularly long. I guess it is just a matter of opinion.

I really like the curler too.  At first I thought it was a total waste of money, but like atlgirl, I don't just crimp in one spot and I end up with a much better curl.  My favorite part of the curler is that its curved in such a way that it curls all of my eyelashes at once instead of having to move the curler around a bunch of times to make sure they all get curled.

Jen- I have to agree with you. I have 4 eyelash curler (I know that seems like a lot, but as I've said before I'm a Gemini and crave variety ) by Revlon, Mabelline, Shu Uemura, and Shiseido. I personally like the Shiseido one the best, but it's about the same price as the Shu Uemura.

I have one and I think it's better than other ones I had bought from drugstores. I forgot to pack it on a trip to LA once so I bought the Kevyn Aucoin one. I really like that one better.. but honestly I think it all depends on your personal eyeshape. If it doesn't work for you, then return it.

I like the Shu one better than any drugstore model but I too am most impressed with the Shiseido one. This may be because of my eye shape though, since the Shu feels a big large when I put it next to my eyes and it doesn't quite follow the almond shape. The Shiseido is perfect.

have had my shu for about 5 years and i love it.  i do, however, remember when i first got it and struggled with it b/c you don't have to hold it forever like you do with cheaper curlers.  so i would get a strange crimp in my lashes... but now i have it down and it creates a gorgeous curl...

I am with Bex, I love mine. It's kind of if I was on a desert island what would I take kind of thing. It takes some getting used to with not having to crimp as hard but I could not live without it!
