yeah so everytime i go to the neiman's in atlanta (the one in lenox mall) the sa's are really rude to me. i guess i don't look wealthy enough when i shop there.
i went in june when i was visiting my family and i saw these 7's on the sales rack (it was first call). they were really old (the style was from last fall) so i asked the sa to scan them to see what they would ring up as. she responded by saying the price is the price on the ticket. to which i replied, yes, i see that but i know that these jeans are old and they're the only pair on the rack so could you just check them to see. she then showed them to another sa, who agreed with me about the fact that they were old but she was still stalling about checking the price, which annoyed me b/c it would take all of 2 seconds. anyway she finally checked the price, and they weren't on sale anymore but it was just really annoying b/c she made a big deal out of something that's really standard service.
so this weekend i go again, b/c i wanted to see there mj bag selection and if any cute ones were left from last call. when i go i find out that last call is over (strange b/c i thought it started last week but i know every nm has a different schedule.) so they're in the process of putting away the bags, and by that i mean they were bagging them in garbage bags and still had a bunch on the floor sitting in the bags. anyway after browsing a bit, i see several mj bags sitting in one clear trashbag. the bag's not tied or anything, so i ask the sa if it would be possible for me to look at one of the bags (i really wanted to see the price, and they were still in the process of bagging the pradas and guccis) and she was like no, you can't look in the bag. which kind of annoyed me. i *know* that technically she was within her right, but i feel like if she wanted to she could've let me look at the bag, since they were all still on the selling floor, and she was just really rude about it. even my mom was like that lady was really rude. the thing is i know if i were in nyc, they would totally have let me look at the bag. plus it's funny b/c i always feel like southerners are supposed to be nice, but i always end up having the opposite experience. and the whole thing was just kind of annoying and made me feel bad, as though i didn't look rich enough to shop there. which was crazy b/c even though it was neiman's, it's definitely not the nicest neiman's i've ever been in. so if you're in atlanta, avoid the neiman's in lenox mall b/c the sa's are snotty.
100% agree with you on this one...I live in the ATL and hate this store. The SAs always make me feel like they are doing me a favor when they help me. I actually asked one of them if she thought she was doing me a favor by doing her job...I know it was rude, but sometimes I just can't keep my mouth shut!
I totally agree the sales associates in Atlanta always have attitude. My mom has worked with the personal shopper there for years so if I know specifically what I want I'll just deal with her. She's super nice and not pushy. All the employees who work in the Zodiac Room (the cafe downstairs), however, are beyond nice.
I think it's ironic that Atlanta is supposed to be known for it's Southern Hospitality but the SAs at the Tampa Neimans are 100x better than the ones in Atlanta
i feel better now, for awhile i thought it was just me. anyway the sa at nordstrom's who helped me buy my sunglasses was a sweetheart, so it made me feel much better.
