Oh. My. God. That was the best thing ever! I really was so relaxed that I couldn't even talk or feel my body on the table. It was an Aveda salon and when it was over I felt like I had just slept for days. She did various things to me face then rubbed my chest and arms and finally my shins, calves, and feet which was awesome since I run and work out so much. I never knew what relaxed really felt like until then.
I highly recomend an Aveda facial if anyone is feeling stressed. I think it was more relaxing than benefical to my face but I don't really have any issues with my skin so it was okay. But my face does feel SO soft now. Just thought I'd share.
Thanks for the info! I've had lots of facials but never by Aveda. There's an Aveda Institute (the school were stylists and estheticians become Aveda certified) across the street from where I live and all of the services are super cheap since they are done by students (EVERYTHING is under $35) so I think I'll be getting my next facial there

let me know what you think of it. there is an Aveda Institute near me too and i have often thought of getting manis/pedis there but i am afraid they won't be up to my standards (i am pretty tough on my manicurists!) but if their facials are good, then i would be up for trying them!
Oh, the Aveda school is where I went. My roomate is in the program and she's the one that did it. I'd trust the students because she's already been doing this for a year. They go to school 5 days a week at first then only 1 day a week because the other 4 they are out on the floor so they have lots of know how. I've also found that they are more trendy than some of the salons I've been to. I also have a discount card that my friend gave me so get this-my 60 min facial cost me $17.50! What a deal! You know, maybe you can stand to be iffy about letting students do your hair or something like that but a massage is going to feel good no matter what so what do you have to lose? It is still very cheap without a discount card. I plan to still go there after she's done in a month.
This is so funny! I just signed up for a haircut at the aveda institute! It's gonna cost me a hefty 18 bucks, lol. I recently had a really bad haircut, and I can't imagine any student being worse than the guy i went to. Plus, even if it doesnt come out that great, I wear my hair up most of the time during the summer, so by the time fall comes around, it should be grown out a bit.
Well, Im getting the haircut on the 19th, so I'll let you guys know how it went!
