I think this is the weirdest question I've ever asked. In the past few years I notice that I have these "ridges" on the sides of my face stemming from the sides of my nose. They make my eyes look sunken in and weird. Does anyone know what the hell it is? Is it just fat on my face, or from lack of sleep? Or am I insane for letting it bother me? See pic below.
Do you have allergies or frequent sinus infections? Mine will swell up and get puffy sometimes when I'm sick, but it's not chronic... I would never notice it on you though.

As you get older, you lose fat under your eyes, which can make this happen. OR, you have allergies or sinus infections and it builds up in your cheeks. Try Claritin and see if it helps reduce it. Try this: Press on your cheeks firmly with your fingers and roll your fingers a little back and forth (almost like a massage) Does it kinda hurt and at the same time almost feel like pressure was released? If so, prolly sinuses.
I don't think its allergies bc I am familiar w the sinus feeling and I don't feel like that right now :(
I think its moreso what gossipgirl suggested - loss of fat under eyes. I started googling and fell upon something called "under eye hallowness". Only fix is surgery or maybe getting sleep can sometimes help..... boo I am a classic insomniac. I'm going to try to get in my 8 hours just to fix this. Thanks guys.
I've heard that you can get Restlyane just at the ridge under your eyes, which will fill it in a little. Not sure I'd wanna do that, but it could be an option
I have the same lines under me eyes, when it's lack of sleep they're dark. other dsays they're there, just not dark/purple...So, I use conciler, I tried cucumber circles a few times to cool the zone, i think it helped a bit, i use eye creams since i was in my 20-s ( don't have wrinkles around my eyes, but do have those sacks).. I wonder what to do to reduce that? Mine look exactly as on your picture.
