What Skin Care Line Do You Use?
Permalink Closed

I am just wondering. I don't think here lately my skin has been looking the best, right now I use St. Ives and a couple of Olay age defying products, but I'm not even sure that's working. I want my skin to glow, and it's SOOOO many products out there.

Thanks.

I use philosophy products.  For me, nothing has ever worked better.

i used to use all trish mcevoy from her sensitive line that came out last spring.  my skin looked its best ever, but the products are expensive and i had some problems with the women at the trish counter in the store.  long story but they work on commission and would fight over who i worked with, and it was very catty and uncomfortable.

now i use a combo of kiehl's and olay.

Estee Lauder Day Wear SPF 15 and Day Wear for eyes. I also use Philosophy for my neck. And I use Neutrogena healthy body complexion for my chest. Hmmm...does it sound like I'm a wee bit scared of wrinkles? 24th Birthday is coming up....

omg, my 24th is on it's way too.  i used olay face cloths & olay total effects lotion (for the 7 signs of aging).  when i go in the sun i use olay 15 spf lotion.  i'm very loyal about brands & HATE to mix!  i think i need to step up my routine tho... at least around my eyes cuz i can tell i'm getting lines there.

Dermalogica. And, I religiously use sunscreen. The best sunscreen for faces is T-Silc. The way I look at it is this: you need to invest in your skincare - your skin last a whole lot longer than that cute shirt at BCBG. Just my two cents...

Pro-Activ, Epiclear, and Neutrogena Anti-wrinkle.

i use clinique.  i wash my face with the soap bar/cleanser, then use clarifying lotion 2, then use their yellow moisturuzer. i've used other things in the past, and my skin pretty much seems the same....abt once a week i exfoliate with the apricot scrub by st. ives.

you know, I never thought that way, you kinda just opened my eyes. I always thought that spending money in skin care you don't have anything to show for it, but I just realized how wrong that is.

I am gonna buy creme de la mer eye cream for my bday, I think...

you really put this well!  that is so true.  i'm going to adopt this as my skin-care mantra.  i also use sunscreen religiously, something everyone at work makes fun of me for but i don't care.

A former roommate of mine use to work for Trish at Bloomies, and she would constantly complain about the other sales associates -- they all sounded like bitches (though she was high-strung herself). I'm sorry they turned you off to the products -- if you wrote that in a letter to Trish herself, you could probably get lots of goodies!

I've just started using Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging facewash and I'm really happy with the way it has cleared up the little bumps around my chin and on my cheeks! I use the Bigelow rose water toner (mostly witchhazel) and I use Olay daily protectant to moisturize. At night I use Advanced Night Repair by estee Lauder (I think -- it's in the brown glass jar) and i like the way it is absorbed almost instantly. I also use Georgette Klinger eye cream for those little lines that are starting to form...

WOW - thanks for the GREAT responses, ladies. I've used Neutrogena in the past, and it worked pretty good, but I'm knocking on 34, and I (STILL) want to look good! And you're right, Princess Pink, I should invest MORE into skincare, I'm always out there buying clothes/shoes, hardly every anything for my face. But that'll change next payday, I think I really want to start using Olay facial products, and sunscreen - need to start using that too, I've NEVER used it before in my life.

I use evian, it really makes my skin feel soft and look nice, unless I am going through a stage of breakouts, no good for acne prone skin.

Doctor prescribed junk. I have had really great skin my whole life and then within the last 6 months my face started breaking out.

Acne and my tonsils removed. What am I 14 again? Jeez.

NARS...i liketheir balancing foam cleanser, hydrating lotion and mud mask especially.  not too crazy about the hydrating cream though, too oily for me.

oh and i'm a religious sunblock user as well--i use this awesome coppertone one, it's called very sheer or something and sinks right into my skin without making my face look shiny.  i love it, plus it's totally inexpensive and every target/walmart/kmart carries it.

I swear by Oil of Olay Clarity face cloths and toner, since my skin is still oily and it keeps my breakouts minimal.  For a little added radiance to my skin, I use St. Ives Apricot scrub.  Also I always wear a moisturizer with sunscreen(Oil of Olay) or oil-free sunblock (Neutrogena). I've found since my skin is oily, higher end brands do not work for me, they are made for those with normal to dry skin.

In the fall and winter, when I want my face to glow, I try a retinol product, like Loreal's Line Eraser.
