My mom was complaining this weekend that her hair has gotten super dry and straw-like lately. She is going to bring it up with her hairdresser and doctor, etc. but I want to put a little extra of deep conditioner in with her Christmas presents to hopefully help until those appointments. The thing is, I kind of want a drugstore brand because I don't really have the time to spend running around to different salons trying to find a fancier brand!
Anyone have something super good? She already has a moisturizing conditioner that she uses when she shampoos and it's not helping her much, so it sounds like she needs something pretty heavy-duty.
Thanks!

I've been using John Frieda Frizz-Ease Transform Crème Serum Night Lightweight Hair Treatment. I put it on one a week before I go to bed and wash my hair normally in the shower the next day. It soaks in and doesn't leave my pillow case greasy. It helps with my wavy hair that gets pretty dry on the ends in the winter.
i have to admit i adore nexxus humectress conditioner, i think it can be purchased at most drug stores. also there is something called a "Cholesterol" deep conditioner, available at sally beauty supply. the stuff is pretty awesome and can be used just once a week for damage control.
