Frederic Fekkai Salon Color Review
Permalink Closed

As some of you know, I bought a box of FF Salon Color during the Sephora F&F sale. The color below is the one I used.

If I had reviewed this right after I used it, I would have said it was terrible. However, about 2 weeks after using this, it morphed into the perfect shade. It seemed easy enough to use, but my mom did it for me. The next time I use it, I don't think I'll have any problems applying it by myself. It smells very nice, but my hair felt a little dry after using. The included conditioner didn't work very well for me so I ended up using my own.

As for the product itself, it left my roots an odd shade of strawberry blonde. I only left it on my roots for 30 minutes though (as opposed to the recommended 35) b/c my mom made me wash it out early (she thought my hair was getting too dark confuse). However, three weeks later, my roots are no longer reddish; they're just a pretty shade of medium blonde. I had highlights before using this, and they came through after dying.

The only negative thing I have to say about this is that my ends were lighter than the upper half of my hair, which I think could be due to the preconditioner treatment - it may have prevented the ends from soaking up enough color. I also did this using the allover color method instead of just doing my roots. I would most definitely repurchase this, as it's much cheaper than getting highlights. Next time I'll make sure to leave this on my roots for the full 35 minutes.

HTH!
