So, I just looked out my office window and saw this big crowd of people outside the Banana Republic on 5th Avenue at 18th Street and a camera crew filming everything. I went downstairs and they're doing an episode of Project Runway. There are five models, one in each window, modeling outfits that are dark neutrals, and they had us all vote on which outfit was our favorite. Then a production assistant asked me if I wanted to be interviewed on camera, so they had me talking with three of the designers about which outfit I picked and why, and which I thought would be good to wear to work and for evening, and which I'd actually pay for, what looked like it belonged at Banana Republic, etc. It was pretty fun! So if you watch Project Runway in December you might see me....
Yay! That's so exciting! Remind us before it comes on. Will you know beforehand if they are going to air your footage or will you just find out when the episode airs?
I don't think they'll tell me; I just have to watch and see if I make the cut. Do any of you watch the show? I actually never have, but after this and also meeting the designers I definitely will. They seemed exhausted -- generally nice, but exhausted. One guy seemed like he was really competitive with everyone. They all have to live together too -- that must be intense!
I'll post again on this before the season starts, but before I forget what I said/wore today, I have dark curly hair up in a pony tail, ghostly pale complexion, and am wearing jeans, a white tank with white embroidery, and a light blue cardigan, and I mention Vivian Westwood and the little black dress...who knows what they will use if anything.
Thanks for all your enthusiasm, girls, I really appreciate it!!!
