Just out of curiousity what is the "almost mugging thing"?

Yeah, that was actually the first earthquake that I actually felt - for some reason, my body doesn't register earthquakes well. What is this "almost mugging"??! I hope all is ok.
Oh, and sorry I have yet to get back to you regarding my friend....work.....is......crazy.....right....now.......
hey girls, thanks for ur concern... u can read my blog entry (first time i've ever been compelled to write one) at www.myspace.com/calicrystal on the right side there should be something about almost getting robbed, click on that & read, if u so desire. i've told the story so many times now it's just easier to direct people there! and yes, i'm just fine, thank you!!
ETA: and Tara don't worry! i know work can be hectic, just contact me when u have time... no stress!
i read your blog! scar-eee! i try to use ATMs that i can drive up to- i feel safer doing that... however, i remember being super cautious when i lived in paris... i was always concerned that i was going to get mugged while using the ATM there!
as for the quake, i emailed my best friend who lives in LA but haven't heard back yet... i am sure she is fine though!

thanks for reading! ya, the quake was actually downgraded to a 4.9 recently, but damn, it felt BIG! the epicenter was really far away & i felt it like it was underneath me! but don't worry, i'm positive ur friend is OK. there was very little damage, mostly cracks in walls & stuff falling over, i'm pretty sure no one was hurt.
I did, probably a bit more intensely so than most because I work on the 22nd floor of an office building and of course we're on rollers.
The celing made creaking noises and I look up since they seemed pretty strong. Once I got up I felt that the building was shaking. One of my bosses started to scream, ran out of her office and ran back in to get her purse. She then told both of us assistants to get in the doorway (why, I dunno...) where we felt the first aftershock because the floor was kinda moving in a wave motion.
But nothing bad happened...I just found out I work for sissy bosses.
