I figured I'd start the menu thread up again since a couple people mentioned wanting to do it again in collegegirl's food rut thread. If I remember correctly we went by week like the shopping threads right?
Last night we ate:
-jasmine rice
-Venison steaks rubbed with garlic (deer steaks? I don't know what the "correct" name is)
-Cranberry almond salad (fresh spinach + a bag of Salad Finishers)
Tonight:
We still have a lot of deer meat left (we know a lot of generous hunters!) so tonight is deer pot pie. Probably with onions, potatoes, green beans, peas, and mushrooms because that is what is coming in my produce delivery today
(sidenote: veggies delivered to your home is the best idea ever. I make so many less trips to the grocery store now!)

last night- crepes - one batch with smoked salmon, asparagus and goat cheese one batch with strawberries and blackberries and topped with vanilla ice cream
tonight: curried cauliflower and pumpkin soup (leftover, I made a vat of this stuff on sunday,) with turkey, spinach and brie panini
also kelly- I love the idea of the produce home delivery- do you do one of those organic, locally grown farmers ones? I keep meaning to look into them in my area!

Yep! I use Farm Fresh Delivery, which has operations in Cincinnati and Indianapolis. It's pretty awesome - I think the prices are reasonable, most of it is organic and all of it is local. They pretty much decide what to send you every week, based on what's in season. You can substitute out a couple things in each order if you don't want something but pretty much you get what they want to give you. It's super convenient (I just come home and I have a bin full of food on my porch!) and it forces me to step out of my comfort zone if they deliver a food I don't normally buy.
If you happen to be in Cincy or Indy, the website is farmfreshdelivery.com

This week, in whatever order we decide we're in the mood for stuff:
Portabellas, grilled and stuffed with lemon, garlic and goat cheese on a toasted pub bun; spinach salad with currants, pine nuts, and a grand marnier mustard vinaigrette.
Thai pizza - thai peanut sauce, mozzarella, and jullienned carrots, red pepper, green onion, and cilantro. Probably with miso soup.
Coconut squash soup - butternut simmered in veggie broth and coconut milk and then blended, spiced up with some garlic and a touch of cayenne. Probably with crusty pumpernickel bread and a simple salad.
Thanksgiving stuff will likely last us at least 3 or 4 days of leftovers, so that's the plan for all meals Thursday through Sunday or so. I could eat Thanksgiving leftovers for weeks!

1. ginger and ponzu broth with snapper and asian vegetables, rice 2. roasted garlic and potato soup with french dip sandwiches 3. cauliflower and swiss chard gratin 4. weisswurst with sauteed apples and onions, potato pancakes 5. nachos with refried beans, homemade salsa and guac (might make mine into a taco salad) 6. lasagna noodles layered with eggplant caponata, baked, topped with goat cheese
