Ditto on the plastic heels and mom's heels as a kid for dress-up.  I remember crying in the store because my mom would not get me a pair of higher-heeled sandals (third grade?).

At first I thought it might be one of those one-off things when the child pitches a fit and won't leave the house without taking off some weird piece of clothing __fill in_____
- a tutu
- her dad's baseball cap
- her leotard from gymnastics
- her pyjamas

But, since you said that she has been seen more than once, it looks like a fashion decision--which I do not agree with for a kid.

Cripes - Some adults can't even wear peeptoes at work in some offices!

I think I am more disturbed by the look on Suri's face. I could be reading into it, but I feel like she looks like she almost thinks she needs to pose for the camera, with the way she is holding her coat closed and sort of smiling. I feel sooooo bad for the children of celebrities who are followed and photographed before they can really understand what's going on and why.

i read that katie was asked how suri wears heels and they said she was insistent so they bought ball room dance shoes for her.

however, these shoes do not look like dance shoes to me. but i could be wrong. i have ball room dance shoes from my college theatre days and they do not look like this...

also- WHY do they let that child run around with no coat! seriously- that child NEVER has a coat on!!

ok ive read this post about 10 times but just now stopped to look at Katie's face. She looks exhausted!!!! I bet Suri had tantrums unless she's in heels. It is disturbing what a lil woman she looks like though.

I have a 2 1/2 year old and there is no way she would be sporting such a look. I mean really they are little girls not teenagers. I am fine with at home for dress up but that's it. However, my little one does have an eye for great shoes. She is always putting on my heels and trying to walk around the house in them.

Targeting kids: Us Weekly takes fashion commentary to a new low

"After years of pitting actresses and celebutants against each other in its "Who Wore It Best" spread, Us Weekly has finally kicked it up a notch by bringing celebrities' kids into the fold. Now those same little munchkins ... can enjoy the unique pleasure of having their looks judged by anonymous adults in a public forum."

This ticks me off.  It's one thing to photograph adults and compare/pick them apart.  They chose to be celebrities/actors (depending on which they actually are.)  But I absolutely hate it when they take pictures of the kids like that.  That whole stupid thing about Jolie's daughter "turning into a boy" because she cut her hair short was ridiculous.  She's a kid!  Let her be a tomboy if she wants.  It's not hurting her, so why should it be any concern of mine?

Suri is wearing heels in every picture I see of her. This definitely seems like a fashion choice. There is no way I'd let my kid (if I had one) wear heels that frequently. I played dress up when I was a kid, but I was not allowed to wear heels.

And RE: Katie- every picture I see of her she looks tired and miserable. It makes me feel bad for her.

Every parent I know looks tired and miserable. That just makes her human.

Normal, every day parents, maybe. But celebs? It's rare to see them looking tired and miserable (unless they're Lindsay Lohan and/or on drugs all the time). Although, maybe Katie doesn't have all the personal assistant help that other celebs have. No idea, but she definitely looked tired and miserable long before Suri came along.

Hey! I'm a parent, I dont think I look tired and miserable....though I do have dark circles, but that's not because of my kids.

But you don't look like a parent! When I see pictures of you with your older one I go "no effing way that's her kid. Little brother, maybe."
