STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

We're going to SD July 24-27.  I've decided we're going to Sea World one day (it's free for our whole family.  Active Duty military and their dependants get in free to all Busch parks this whole year :grin:).  That's the only thing I'm planning.  The other 2 days I want to leave open for relaxing by the pool, at the beach, shopping, etc.  Where should we stay?  Mission Bay?  I haven't been there in years.  There are so many different neighborhoods. 

Oh, I had a previous post on this topic.  We were thinking we could stay at the Navy base on Coronado, which is supposed to be very nice and only $80 a night.  Well, I guess it's popular because they're booked up the whole month of July!  .  Sooo, not staying on Coronado anymore.  I would like to go over there, however, and see the old hotel.
