My mother and I are having a lil tiff over shrugs and boleros.  I think they're super flattering and make your waist look great.  Mom thinks they make wide hips look 10 times wider and are overall unflattering on anyone. 


Who wins this one?

Because there are so many styles out there, I am sure one of them is bound to flatter most body types. I love them 'cuz they hide my flabby arms.

Well I did read that when your waist is smaller (or looks smaller) your hip looks bigger in comparison, so in this case (if it's true), both.

I think shrugs are cute, but when I look at them I never think, WOW- that thing is so FLATTERING.  I kind of think they are unflattering, cutting off the body in a weird way.  But they don't look bad on a lot of people and some individual shrugs are adorable.

I voted that they are flattering (at least on me and my body type).  I absolutely adore shrugs.  I have sooo many and keep collecting more!  They really, really work on me and give me more definition around my waist. I don't have really wide hips to begin with, so they give me more definition there, too, without being unflattering.  Besides, I have a ton of longer tops and the also work really well with those.  I don't think shrugs are for everyone, but they work on me, so I love them!
