I kind of have an etsy store; but I can not photograph anything well enough to compete on there. I'm torn with trying to get things in there and offering tutorials to my ST girls...

Have you tried taking pics with the "macro" setting on your camera? My SO just taught me how to use it. It gives much clearer, more detailed close up shots.

I'm going to play around with it today. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for all the kind words girls!

Hee, my BF had to teach me about macro too, and it instantly made all my detail shots so much better. Natural light helps too - please open up an etsy store IAPT! They are SO cute - I especially love the first one

I agree with the other girls. Try your macro setting and natural light. I'm amateur photographer and use it for anything I want to show the detail on (an example is that I photograph my mom's garden for her every year.) Also, it's going to be easier not to do a self portrait. Try to get somebody else to model them for you. If you have a tripod, I'd use that too.
The headbands are extremely cute (especially the one with the feather!). I think you could easily compete on esty with them. Good luck!
Ok so I got some pretty good pics, and made some more headbands. I don't have photo editing software and can't resize my images and etsy says they are too lare . Still working on it. I'll keep you girls updated.
