Leather sofas or sectional

Looking for a cute leather sectional or sofa set in a neutral shade for my family room.
This is the room:

I plan on redoing the fireplace and adding some crown/picture molding.  There is also a wet bar down here (not pictured) & I already have a large rug that's a cream/brown abstract animal print with a deep pile.
I'm putting the plasma tv down here so it will be a combination tv/hangout room.  I'd like for it to be contemporary and pretty, but not too delicate for a party, a guys' night or children.  I do like all the leather sofas from horchow (most are tufted).  I also like the color of this one but I don't think it is practical enough.  What do you think? http://tinyurl.com/yjlfmk6

I have dogs who will be allowed on the sofas, so I need a pretty sturdy leather.
Any suggestions? TIA!

Ditto (sorry), but I love it too, as well as the flooring!

It all looks great - floors, wall color, fireplace - chic but cozy.

I'd have to see the rug, but if it's a brown print on a cream background then I'd go with a dark colored sofa to create contrast. If the rug is more dark than light, then you could pick a light color.

Or you could look for a wine/reddish color for even more contrast, then pick up the color with accessories here and there.

leather is hard because in my experience, it doesn't wear well. You have to be cautious of putting it near windows because it will sun bleach.

I love the shape of the one you posted, especially with the side table thing. I don't know if the color would be practical but I like it a lot. I think it would look gorgeous in your room!

have four leather sofas, one in the living room, one in the master bedroom, one in my office, and one in the great room.As long as you buy top quality, whole hide, leather is far more sturdy than cloth - for animals and humans.I do put throws on the sofas, especially over the backs because I have 6 dachshunds and they all like to perch on the back of the sofas - and all over them in general.Haven't had any damage from dogs yet.

Thanks for sharing..

I love the sofa on the pic from Bloomingdales, love the contrast & the shape & the color. HOw did you plan to configurate furniture in front of the fire place? In any case - low back is good, since the ceilings look a bit low, so it'll make the room seem more spacious. Also, if those are your colors, you'll need to bring in more color in accents which is convinient for different seasons - you'll be able to change it as often as you'd like. WIndow treatments? Windows are close to the ceiling.
