A TMI Question re: Bikini Wax

Okay so I get bikini waxes all the time but normally when I don't have my period.  I have an eyebrow appointment at Bliss this afternoon and I am leaving for the beach tomorrow and really need to get my bikini done too.  Has anyone every gotten their bikini done during their period?  Do you leave your tampon in?  (I usually get Brazilian waxes so they are all up in my business so its not like I can leave my undies on)  I know this is probably more information than you guys wanted to know, but I didn't know who to ask.

I would skip it.  Not so much because you couldn't do it, but just to be courteous of the technician.

I agree wait of few days- that's just kind of nasty and TMI for the person doing it. Plus, during that time the area is supposedly more sensitive so it would probably be painful (more than normal)

ok, so i've totally been in the same boat & what i did was just get a regular bikini wax (not a brazilian/playboy) which allowed me to leave my panties on.  the esthetician just tied the front of my panties so she was able to go in pretty far.  she was very understanding (and usually she is a bitch) and when u need a wax u need a wax so go for it!

I agree. Just get the sides waxed not the full deal and you should be fine.

i've never had it done during that time but my eyebrow lady does bikinis too and she doesn't bat an eyelash at seing a tampon string (somehow it came up in a convo a while ago).  


i'd just go for it if i were you, seems they've seen it all and nothing really phases them (maybe leave an extra-big tip?).  oh but take an aspirin beforehand, supposedly it's super-painful the week before your period, and i'm assuming it would hurt during as well.

I knew you ladies would have the answers!   I am going to go ahead and book a bikini wax in addition to my eyebrow and if she seems squemish (and if I decide I am too squemish) I will just have her do the sides.
