Room envy

Yesterday DH and I redid the spare room, and now I have a case of room envy. I like it better than our room. I don't know if it is because I hated the room so bad before and now it looks so nice that I am over exaggerating to myself or what, but I totally want to redo the master, and we just redid it 2 years ago. I've tried de-cluttering and rearranging a few knick-knacks to make it feel fresh, but to no avail.

Has this happened to anyone? I am trying like mad not to go out and get a new rug or something for my bedroom!

I'd suggest trying to identify what it is exactly that you love so much about your newly redone guest room. Is it the paint color? The lighting? The layout? A particular piece of furniture? Try to identify what it is that you love so much and see if you can replicate that in your master bedroom. Moving some furniture around and rearranging knick knacks can also help too.

This happens to me, only it happens once I've finished decorating the room and then see the way someone else has decorated a similar room (like a bedroom), and then I end up liking their room more!

I second NCShopper's suggestions. They can help freshen up a room, esp. switching furniture around.

Maybe you just crave a new decorating project!

But I know what you mean. My guest room is so cute, cute like I'd never do in the master bedroom even if DH would go for it, yet my master bedroom is still undone after 4+ years.
