So everyone enjoys shopping and helping others shop.!! What other hobbies does everyone enjoy? I love reading, movies, making jewelery and other crafty things, and music. I know shopping is a given, but thrift shopping truly is a hobby for me, one I am always ready to do, I have told my friends, if they want to make emergency trips to the thrift stores, I am ready at a moment's notice!! I also like cooking, baking, reading cookbooks, trying to coax houseplants(mainly African violets) to thrive, and doing Yoga and Pilates.

Whew, do I sound boring!! Dont do the clubs, but do get together with our friends to eat at a pub or do bbq's. Lately we have been playing Dungeons and Dragons(geek alert!!)

I do a lot of reading, and my husband and I are big movie fans. I do Pilates and I spend a LOT of time with my family. I also have two big dogs that are a ton of work!

decorating my new apt. (limited budget so thrift stores and craft stores abound)

Outdoor sports: running, surfing, snowboarding, sailing, trail running, cycling, camping...


Music: singing, going to shows (seen 3 bands this week already), "discovering" great music....


Travel: road trips, visiting far away friends/family, exploring distant lands....


Lately, going to Mariners games with my boyfriend.


Hanging out in coffee shops....Seattle culture thing.

I have so many hobbies and not enough time (or money) to do all of them!!



  • Jewelry design (it's a part-time job as well)
  • Interior design
  • Graphic design
  • Writing (fiction, non-fiction, ect--someday, I'll get a few books published)
  • Singing, dancing and acting (that whole musical theatre, triple-threat thing--this one has fallen by the wayside in the past few years due to my schedule as a retail manager. I'm hoping to rekindle this one in the near future as it is the one that I feel is most defining of who I am, probably my greatest talents.)
  • Playing piano 
  • Art- drawing, painting, ect (who wants to buy art for your house, when you can just do it yourself??)
  • Crafts- if it's crafty, I think it's fun (making jewelry boxes, making Christmas ornaments, candles, ect)--one of my favorite childhood memories is making crafty things with my mom- I so want a little girl so that I can do crafty things with her!
  • Going to the opera, ballet, theatre, museums
  • Reading
  • Anything involving the beach (I really want to learn how to surf!!)
  • Volleyball (it's been so long since I've played, but I used to love it. I played court and beach.)
  • Entertaining at home- I love having friends over for dinner, cocktail parties or game night.

Oh, gosh, I think that's about it.  Makes me want to run out to the art supply store and buy a whole bunch of stuff!!!
