Has anyone done this before? I'm thinking about going red, but I don't totally trust my hairdresser to do this (I live in a place where there aren't a whole lot of blondes so he doesn't have much practice). I want to go Kate Walsh red - any advice, or does anyone have a good dye formula I could pass on to my hairdresser to replicate?
No advice - I've gone from blonde to red, more of an auburn though. In my experience it is alot more high maintenance bc the color fades (which left me a dull mousy brown in between coloring).
Hi! I"m red. every time i'd dye the hair ( with professional only, never myself), each of them would concoct something of his own materials. So, you can't give them formula. However, i realized that red that I did when i just started dying was too red, from the "blood red" colors that I picked from the chart, so I switched to red in COPPER family - it looks richer & more natural & unique. I was after Deborah Messing color. KAte Wlash also has copper ( i paid attention to her too, it was right before I went to my hairdresser). So, ask for the chart, go to copper page, pick the red shade you love from this page. Works every time, I get compliments on my red.
