hey all - just wanted to stick my head in and touch base with you!  I've had a super crazy month.  Sold my mother's house, squeezed in a garage sale last Fri-Sun, and am packing/moving all this week since we're closing on Friday.  Also during the last month, my husband's boss and good friend died from pancreatic cancer (heart wrenching), and a former agency client of mine contacted me to work for them (from home!! yay!)  we are also trying to finish the room in the basement so we have a place to put some stuff from my mom's house (was working on that until 10:30 last night.)  So anyway, I'm hoping to give ST some attention next week - I really feel like I've dropped the ball, so please bear with me.

anyway -- what's up with everyone? I think I missed some birthdays - fashion princess, kenzie, relrel? who else?  happy belated birthday to anyone I missed!

ETA: my husband also just booked my flights for India/Nepal for the end of September too (tacking on to one of his business trips), so I have a great trip to look forward to soon!

Hey D! Glad to hear that things are finally calming down a bit for you. Awesome job news and travel news also!
And don't feel even a twinge of guilt hon...remember, this is the place we come to get away from the stress...so no stressing about when you are or aren't able to! :)

Ahem, Kenzie and I both turned 21 this month. smile.gif

But you sold your mom's house? Finally! That's such a huge weight off of your shoulders. Are you still looking to move yourself? I remember something about the dream house that got sold.

I'm leaving for a week in Nova Scotia in a few days, forget about the not having to go to work, I'm just excited for weather that doesn't make me sweat the instant I leave the house.

Hi! Sounds like you've had a busy, but great, month! Good luck on the closing. And can't wait to see pictures from Nepal (that's so cool.) I'm going to England, Scotland and Wales in Sept. Looking forward to a great trip is half the fun of travel!

You have to share India/Nepal pics!!

It's been a little crazy here...BF lost his job so now our plans to move away have been pushed forward and revved up with his job search. We learned my dog has diabetes so that has been a big thing as all of our schedules are overhauled - injections twice a day, lots of vet visits, food monitoring...blech. No big trips planned but I am going to Ocean City, Maryland for 4 days in September. I'm going with BF and his friends for some car show that they're into...but I'll probably sneak away to go read on the beach wink.gif

Good to see you back on D! I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. That is such a hard thing to see someone have to deal with.

Oh god, I'm so sorry about your DH's boss. Pancreatic cancer sucks, no two ways about it.
