I'm not having any luck with online shopping lately. 


Here is my sad story from shopkitson.com:


So I fell in love with Vanessa's bag after seeing it on Friday last week (Kooba Sienna). I had to have the bag.  I got lucky and found it at Kitson.  They actually had a few bags in stock.  I placed the order on Saturday morning through the website. I contacted them via the 866# Saturday afternoon to verify they have a bag in stock for me and that it will ship on Monday; I spoke with a girl who had my information in front of her and assured me my order would be filled Monday. 


Monday I try calling all day to re-verify, and cannot reach anyone.  Today I tried calling all day and finally got to speak with someone at almost 5pm (I called about a dozen times) who was quite rude with me.  I asked about my order and she could not find it under my name.  Eventually, I explained why I was calling to confirm shipment.  I told her about the bag and how it's sold out and I called on Sat to verify, la-di-da... She then cuts me off and says, "Excuse me, but you don't have to be rude."  I started laughing and said, "Umm I didn't mean to come off as rude in any way; I'm sorry if that's how you took it, but really I am just trying to explain my situation to you so I can find out about my order."  She then told me she is used to all the internet callers being rude so she assumed I was too.  What?  I really got mad, but held it in trying to be super sweet instead (you catch more bees with honey than vinegar, right?). 


I repeated my information several times and finally she says they have no order for me.  She also states that the bag is on back order and tells me I can re-place my order online and make a note that I previously put in the order and they would probably fill my order first with the backorders.  I told her I was not interested any longer.


WTF?  I will never, ever, ever, as long as I live shop at that store again.  EVER.

Oh my god - that is ridiculous!  I am so sick and tired of customer service lately.  It seems like everywhere I call lately, people act like this. How on earth did she think you were being rude? I would have said the same thing as you did.  I have never understood how a company can just lose your order - WTF!  That has happened to me in the past to.


Bummer about the purse.

try calling again and talking to a different person--she sounds like she doesn't know what the heck she's talking about.  and is this website run by the same people as the store?  the one in la on robertston?  i can try and find out if they have the bag at the b&m if that's the case...


don't worry drew we'll find you that bag one way or another, she won't stop us.


ETA: drew do you want the all brown one? or the gold suede w/ the off white stitching?

ETA again:  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED--I spoke w/ Mimi, a sa at Kitson this afternoon and she said she might have one in the back but wasn't sure, she took down my phone # and said she'd call if she found it or in a couple of weeks when they were getting in a new shipment.  Just now, on a whim I decided to go down there and see if they had it in the back after all.  Turns out they did!  Only one left!  in the warm brown color, called "luggage." So anyway, I got it!  If you want it, it's yours but if you don't, don't worry--I will give it a very good home!

searle is taking pre-orders for the bag. they said they're expecting a shipment on june 1. i'll see what else i can find.

Wow.  That girl sounds horrible.  You think they'd want to be nice to someone who is looking to spend money at their store! 


If you're still looking for the bag, I noticed the prices on ebay are going down a bit. 


There's one auction ending in five hours that has no bids on it, but starting price is $649.99 (still more expensive than the regular stores, but a lot cheaper than what they were going for a couple of weeks ago, I'd say):
