One idea I've seen is making the bride carry a male blowup doll around and get guys to give her articles of clothing for it then take a picture. You'd be surprised what kind of clothing you can get off of men at bars. evileye

Are you looking for crazier ideas, or something low-key?

Are you willing to spend some money?
1. fortune teller ( they're aware that it's a happy occasion, nobody will tell the bride she'll be happier in her 2nd marriage or that someone close to her will drop dead soon)
2. spa party
3. cheese & wine party ( there are wine tasting at home now, we did one - VERY inexpensive & fun!!) ( depends on how old is the bride & the rest of her company)

What kind of crowd is it? Ages, singles/marrieds, just friends or family too? And how many people? Large or small budget?

sex toy party (with the suggestion that gifts be bought from the party, then the bride-to-be can spend the credit she earns as a hostess). I attended a bachelorette party where this was the case and it was fun (dinner at someone's apt., toy party, opened gifts, martini bar, other bar, still another bar, greasy pizza and then home)

piano bar

spa day

ball game

I've seen a couple b-parties around town lately rockin' it 80's style - they all went to thrift stores and found awesome 80's outfits (lots of sequins and shoulder pads!) and then hit a bunch of places within walking distance of each other so they can sort of parade around town.  HILARIOUS to watch and looked like so much fun, because so many people you pass on the street or sit near in the restaurants get into it, too!  I'd say you could get an entire getup at a thrift store for less than $15 or $20 a person ...

Some girls I know dressed up 80's and went rollerskating for a bachelorette.

Another friend of mine went to a pole dancing class but it was expensive, about $45 per person. Then they hit the bars wearing lingerie. I opted out from this one.

For my SIL we went to a wine tasting at a wine bar with really cute waiters. That was the most fun because we got wine and eye candy without being trashy or dirty like some bachelorettes get (we're a pretty tame crowd). And everyone brought her a pair of panties and she had to guess who brought each pair. That was really fun.
