Oh I forgot about that site!

wow.

Yeah, you gotta delete. Or just modify so it's not a total character assasination? You could say something about how he has issues with fidelity and truthfulness without giving the details...

Well...you were mad , you did it on impulse, it made you feel better for a few minutes - it's in the past, you can do nothing about it, besides, as it turns out, the guy is such a "treasure" that was awarded twice on this website. So...he had it coming:)

I do have to say another thing - it all seems very childish to me....also, i'm not sure that if I'd date anyone ( I've been happily married for a long time, but hypothetically) I'd never think to check this website...or if I'd hire a person to work, unless he's a high end professional in a particular area, I don't think I'd google him...

P.S. Why would his bosses care about his dating life?! If he aready has a job - why would they waste their time to google him....? Again....CHILDISH....

We recently hired a new person at my place and my bosses had me research him on the net before we offered him the job.  I think this has become pretty standard in the hiring process now.

That being said, I don't think you should delete him from the site because it will benefit him. I think you should delete him because it will make you the better person.

Yana's right, it made you feel better at the time.  Good. devilish.gif Now take the high road and realize that this guy is so far beneath you that he isn't even worth your notice anymore. floating.gif

Yeah, I say delete it--you'll feel better if you do. Plus, I'm not sure how it works liability-wise, but if he lost out on a job opportunity because of the posting, could he potentially sue you for slander? I think you're better off just deleting (or really modifying) what you put on the site.

I deleted his name - feel better about it now. Was a lapse in judgement, I'm over it.

I don't think that this issue could bring to court: if he loses a job opportunity - 1st - it's an opportunity, not a job that he already has. 2nd -  he needs to prove that it was due to this post that was the reason they decided against hiring him, which I don't think any company would disclose. Besides, why do you care for his career & well being all of a sudden ?! He's a jerk - so...leave it...He'd also need to hire a lawyer - COSTLY...YOu're really imagining too wildly...( Or I am....)
P.S. Wouldn't you like to counter offer him with the lawsuit for emotional damages?:)
