I think it's a fake relationship & a ploy to garner interest in his upcoming film. Every photo or media clip I've seen of them seems too posed to pass off as real.

I'm not convinced it is a hoax, only because that seems like such a rediculous thing to do.

However, I did think it was weird that their publicist were announcing that they'd been dating a "few weeks." I have never, ever heard of celebrities opening their relationship to the public so early on.

I totally think it is a farse. They are acting way to public about it all and taking every photo op they can to kiss eachother. They even had an offical announcement through their publisists. And..just look! They have been successful! The buzz the relationship has created is overwhelming.

I think they are really dating. It is quite the talk in my town, which is her hometown. Her family has spoken about it publicly EVERYWHERE.

Maybe there are lying about it, but they are lying to their her family too. I just don't see her parents talking about it and making such a big deal if they knew it was fake. It would reflect poorly on her family and I don't think her dad and mom would do that.

if it is a publicity stunt, then Tom Cruise just became even more odd to me (even though I like him).

I think it's a real relationship, but I am having a hard time understanding why they would be announcing their vacation plans and therefore inviting the photogs along. As far as I know, Tom Cruise has never been one to be so open with a relationship to the press.

remember when he first started going out with penelope cruz? they had this totally staged photo at the ivy or something in LA. they had brunch and then stood right in front of photographers and kissed, with these big smiles on their faces.

This relationship would not encourage me to go see either of their movies. They are not even in one together are they? This is why I don't think it is a hoax. I mean what are they hoping to accomplish?
