New Star Trek Movie

I saw it last night, and it was awesome. I had no interest at all in seeing it, but my husband wanted to watch it, so we did and I was very pleasently surprised. It was really good. I will absolutely be buying it for my dvd collection at home. What really surprised me most about it was you know what happens to the crew of the Enterprise because of the tv show and past movies, so you know nothing will happen to them, but I was still on the edge of my seat. 

I highly recomend seeing it.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED it. I went to see it with my boyfriend opening night (he's a giant Trekkie), and I loved, loved it.

I loved it, too! I went to go see it at the IMAX near me, and it was amazing. I'm a huge trekkie nerd, so I really liked all the references he made to the original series...my favorite being the "red shirt" on the away teams.

I've never seen an episode of Star Trek in my life, but I loved the movie. Definitely a fun summer flick that I'd highly recommend.

I really was looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint! I enjoyed all of the Star Trek references (when I saw the guy in the red shirt, all I could think was "Dude! Change your shirt before you leave the ship!"disbelief ) My SIL (who has never seen any of the shows or movies) loved the movie too. I thought the romantic twist (which I won't spoil for people who haven't seen it yet) worked well and I'm interested to see how it plays out in the sequels.

I thought it was a great way to start out the summer movie season.
