I'd want to look better if people were taking my picture every second too!  Especially since on EVERY news and entertainment show people were calling her "Dowdy, plain, ugly, old, etc."  She does look a lot younger, but that HAD to hurt her self esteem weather people liked her singing or not.

I just read somewhere on the internet that the whole Susan Boyle thing was a hoax, that they uglied her up...not sure if it's true or not.

I like it. It's not drastic. She seems to have a great personality to match her wonderful voice, so why shouldn't she try to look better? Good for her!

I agree!  I felt bad for her because every single story about her talked about how hideous she was.  I don't care how high a person's self esteem is that would sting.  I would have been at home crying every night, even if they followed up those comments with how my amazing my voice is.

That said, she looks really great with darker hair.  Like D, I was happy they plucker her eyebrows.

I love it. She looks so much nicer but still like herself.
I hate that there was so much focus placed on her appearance. The media seemed to be super shocked that someone "unattractive" was actually talented.

Not sure.  I did read that she was kidding about the "never been kissed" thing though.
